General Information
Hesse (German: Hessen) is a federal state in the center of Germany. The airport in Frankfurt am Main is Germany's largest passenger airport. Therefore, Frankfurt is an important gateway for foreigners visiting Germany.

Sights in Hesse
Public Transportation with bicycle transport
In southern Hesse taking your bike on the train is free of charge on all routes of the RMV (Rhein-Main transport network). In northern Hesse (NVV, Nordhessischer Verkehrsverbund) your bike travels with you for free, too. If you are traveling with an Intercity train, you have to make a reservation for your bike in advance. The cost for this is 9.00 EUR.
